2015 OWP Workshop

 2015 OWP Annual Workshop

September 8-9, 2015

What’s Brewing in Communications Planning?

The first step in planning is to evaluate current conditions and to scan the horizon.  Communications is about transmitting and receiving messages.  Bring the two together, and wildlife planners can play a vital role in helping their organizations design communications, outreach, and involvement strategies to achieve their missions.

Join OWP’s workshop to learn about the latest trends in communications strategies and how to integrate them into a science-based culture. The OWP conference starts with a laid back social gathering the evening of September 8, followed by a full day of sessions and training on September 9.  Stay a couple days more, and learn about the latest in public participation from practitioners around the country during IAP2’s conference (see below).

Check out the Workshop Agenda!

2015 International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) North American Conference

What’s Brewing in Public Participation?

September 9-11, 2015

The conference will start with a reception the evening of September 9 followed by two days of spectacular sessions and world-class presenters.  Because IAP2 was born in Portland in the early 1990s, we hope to see record runs of IAP2 members and friends returning like salmon to spawn. The Doubletree by Hilton at Lloyd Center is the conference hotel, just steps from the MAX light rail that connects to PDX airport to make it real easy for out-of-towners. This conference will deepen your P2 practice like no other, for as low as $400 for IAP2 members who register before May 1. Listen to The Portland Song by Jewel to get jazzed about coming, and start making your plans!  Information about the IAP2 conference and online registration can be found here:  http://iap2usa.org/na2015conf
